Chris Tyson - Golf Teaching Professional

Chris qualified as a PGA Golf Professional in 1994. In both his early amateur years and subsequent years as a professional, Chris was both mentored and coached by Steve Robinson; who currently coaches the English Ladies National and Northern squads as well as the Yorkshire Union Gents and Boys and the Yorkshire Ladies First Team. Steve is also currently one of Golf Monthly's Top 25 Coaches in the UK. In his time with Steve, Chris acquired high standards and skills in the fundamentals of quality coaching. Chris has gone on to build upon this excellent foundation, developing the knowledge and skills to provide high quality coaching for golfers of all ages and abilities.

Whilst playing golf, Chris has experienced a number of successes; these have included winning the North Region Assistants Order of Merit, The Lord Derby Trophy, as well as playing at Wentworth in the Volvo PGA Championship. He has also enjoyed success playing in a range of North Region tournaments. Chris has worked predominantly in North Yorkshire, working and representing Heworth (York), Malton and Norton and Kirkbymoorside Golf Clubs. He also worked for a number of years on the Isle of Wight, at Westridge Golf Centre. Chris is now available for high quality coaching advice and golfing lessons at The Eleven Arches in Bishop Auckland. Chris is experienced and skilled in teaching players of all abilities and ages, and has taught both individuals and groups. His approach to teaching is clear and logical, ensuring that players of all abilities understand their own individual performance. Chris then makes sure that they can then use this new level of understanding, to improve their game and reach their full potential as a golfer.
